Feldstärke International 2010
International Art Students' Exchange Programme
October 3-10, 2010, Istanbul

Feldstärke International 2010 is a one year long exchange and production programme which gathers 44 students from the leading art academies and conservatories from Germany, France, USA and Turkey. The programme offers these students from different disciplines such as arts, music, dance, multimedia the opportunity to spend and work together one week in 3 different cities and to hold an exhibition with their works created through the process.

After the succesful completion of the first edition of Feldstärke International 2009 with the collaboration of PACT Zollverein (Essen, Germany), CENTQUATRE (Paris, France) and Cal Arts (Los Angeles, USA), in 2010 Turkey was included. The programme has taken place in Essen between 24-31 January, in Paris between 29 March – O5 April and will be in Istanbul between 3-10 October 2010.

With the consultancy of CUMA – Contemporary Utopia Management, the partner of the project from Turkey, 10 young artists in total - 2 postgraduate students from Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, 1 graduate student from Department of Modern Dance; 3 graduate students from Istanbul Bilgi University departments of Visual Communication, Photography and Video and Performing Arts; 2 postgraduate students from ITU MIAM; and 2 graduate students from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Department of Painting and Department of Art and Design - have been a part of 2010 Feldstärke International programme along with 16 German students chosen by PACT Zollverein, 16 French students chosen by CENTQUATRE and 2 American students chosen by CalArts.

The students included in Feldstaerke International 2010 will be divided into several work groups to create their art productions using Istanbul as their source of inspiration during their one week stay in Istanbul. After the 5 day product stage, there will be an open exhibition of the student works and performances at Kadırga Cultural Center on October 09, 2010 Saturday.
